General Election- Tuesday November 5, 2024
The State of Vermont will mail General Election ballots to all active voters in the state by the end of September. If you plan on being away between the end of September and November 5th, please request that a ballot be mailed to you at the location where you will receive mail during that time. (Ballots can not be forwarded and will be returned to the clerk’s office without a forwarding address.) The mailing list will be generated by September 1 so please update your mailing address now.
To make the changes listed above (or to just check your voter status), go to https://mvp.vermont.gov/, log in and update your information or request a mailed ballot at the address where you will be when the ballots are mailed. When you log into https://mvp.vermont.gov/ please provide an email address. Having an email address on file will provide a quicker way to contact you if there is an issue when you return your mailed voted ballot. You may also email [email protected] or call 802-372-5552.
You may bring your mailed ballot to the polls on November 5th, check in and cast it there. (If you do not bring your mailed ballot with you to the polls, you will need to sign an affidavit before receiving a replacement ballot and casting your vote).

Information for Searchers
The Town of South Hero, located in Grand Isle County in Northwestern Vermont, lies on the Southern half of South Hero Island in Lake Champlain.
The area which now encompasses South Hero, Grand Isle, and North Hero was given to Ethan and Ira Allen on October 27, 1779 as a reward for their services to the state.
Today, the lands of South Hero are used primarily for agriculture, dairying, and apple orchards. The island is a very attractive place for resorts and attracts many summer tourists.
