Called to order at 3:01 by David C..
Architect’s Report: Opening Bids
The Town received only one (1) bid. Discussion followed with the following highlights:
In order to satisfy the NBRC major grant the Town needs to receive two (2) viable bids.
The Committee concluded it would not be fair to the one bidder to open their bid, and therefore, did
NOT open the bid or Schedule of Values.
Discussion about how to proceed concluded with a Motion by David Carter and Second by Sandy
Gregg to send a notice to bidder David Pratt – Millbrook Building notifying him that the bid was not
opened due to the Town being required to get two viable bids to satisfy the NBRC Grant, and, that the
bid period will be extended to: Bids Due by noon Friday, Sept 19,2025 with the Committee opening
bids that day at 1:00 PM; the Schedule of Values will be due by noon on Monday, Sept 22,2025 with
the Committee meeting on that day at 1:00 PM to review the Schedule of Values and in executive
session will discuss the bids received, decide on the winning bid to be presented to the Selectboard
at the regular Monday Meeting on Sept 22,2025 at 7:00 PM.
Rebecca A. stated she will be sending out notification to the 4 Contractors who were at the required
site visit. Also, Blueprints Etc. will notify the two contractors who picked up plans with Addendum #4
information that Rebecca A. will supply.
3. Old Business: The Town signed a contract for asbestos cleanup that will begin Sept 18th.
4. New Business: Rebecca A. stated the Town needs to start the permit process with the State Fire
Safety Office and she will fill out the permit form and forward to Sue A., David C. and Sandy G.
for completion and payment. The Build Committee will be actively involved in this
process.
5. Next Meetings: Opening Bids: Fri, Sept 19,2025, 1:00 PM ,Town Office or via ZOOM
Opening Schedule of Values: Mon., Sept 22,2025, 1:00 PM and in Executive
Session discuss and decide on the winning bidder to present to the Selectboard
at their meeting that evening at 7:00 PM.
