Called to order at 3:05 by David C.
Dedication: David dedicated this meeting to Michael Carroll who passed August 4th after a
short courageous battle with cancer. He died peacefully surrounded by his family. This
committee and the Town owe much to Michael and his dedicated service to the Town including
the Bicentennial Museum. He was and continues to be dearly loved and missed. Rest in
peace dear friend.
Architect’s Report: Rebecca Arnold – A&S, No Report
3. Bruhn Grant Status Update – Jenna L., Preservation Trust VT: No Report
4. Town Financial Report: $223,073.31 (includes designated ARPA funds & voter’s $150,000).
5. Other Grant Status Reports:

6. Northern Borders Regional Commission (NBRC) Grant Update;
Sue A. has successfully uploaded all required documents to the NBRC GMS. A Notice To Proceed
should be forthcoming.
7. South Hero Foundation (SHF) Report: Paint-A-Panel Community Event is scheduled for
Saturday, Aug 16, 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM or until the paint runs out! Location: Old White Meeting House.
Sponsors encouraged at $200. Reserve a panel to paint by donation with recommended donation
being $50. Bring your own outdoor latex paint & brushes etc. Limited paint will be supplied. Panels
will be pre-cut and primed ready to go! A final protective coat will be applied to the finished panels by
the volunteer committee. These panels will cover the openings left when the historic windows are
removed for restoration off site.
8. Project Updates: Build Committee: Bid Out Target Date: Aug 16. Goal is to get “Preparation
Timber-Framing” (includes removing windows) started as soon as possible and payout the
$20,000 VT Hist Pres Grant so the Town can apply for the next round of grants Oct 5th.

Asbestos clean-up: Sue A. has one estimate from the 3 companies she contacted. Estimate is ~
$29,500. She will present this estimate to the Selectboard for approval.
10. New Business: Electric Service Update:
David C. and Sandy G. – SHF, both received a letter from the Granny’s Attic people stating their intent
to dislocate the electric to the White Meeting House. Sandy G. suggested the Town pay for the
Granny’s electric in order to keep smooth electric metering for the time being. David will present the
idea to the Selctboard and inform the Grannies of that decision.
