Called to order at 3:00 by David C.
Architect’s Report: David C. reported that Rebecca A., David C., Russ Stratton-Build Committee, &
Sandy Gregg met with 4 Contractors for the mandatory walk-through of the Meeting House. At the
end of the walk-through 3 of the Contractors stated they would be submitting bids. Bids are due Aug
27, 2025 by noon. Bids will be opened, read and discussed on Thursday, Aug 28, 2025 at 3:00 PM at
the Regular Meeting of the Meeting House Committee. Bid opportunity was posted by the Town as
required by law.
3. Bruhn Grant Status Update – Jenna L., Preservation Trust VT: No Report
4. Town Financial Report: $223,073.31 (includes designated ARPA funds & voter’s $150,000).
5. Other Grant Status Reports:
Mary H. reported she will be following up with a potential grant source: VT Housing & Conservation
Board.
6. Northern Borders Regional Commission (NBRC) Grant Update;
Sue A. reported the Town has received the Notice To Proceed! Hard copy to follow soon. Congrats to
Sue A. for her determination getting this done.
7. South Hero Foundation (SHF) Report: The SHF (not the Town) will be applying for a Village
Trust Initiative Grant for “Technical Assistance” through Vermont Preservation Trust as the SHF
needs assistance in building capacity to get the Meeting House Project completed.
8. Project Updates: Build Committee: Bids out. Due back to Town by noon Aug 27th. Will be
opened at next regular Meeting House Committee meeting Aug 28th.

10. New Business: Thank you to Butch Maxham & Anne Zolotas for getting the slate roof on the
Meeting House patched (NW corner), the opening over the front door covered and other
random patches covered to get the old gal through the winter!
