1. Roll Call: Phil Scott, Tricia Scott, Marion Palermo, Lucy Lane, Dylan Degree, Rosemary Zamore. Guests: Guy Maguire, Celia Mojica
2. Public comments, none
3. Approved minutes from the last meeting
4. Welcome new treasurer, Tricia Scott.
5. Motion to approve new member of the Commission-Celia Mojica, passed
6. Whites Beach: Guy: Some dying trees have been removed, some are still hazardous. A restoration project diagram was presented showing a Bio engineered shoreline. EPA funding is available to clean up phosphorus and prevent erosion. Four inch risers on stairways with hand rails are designed to help with accessibility. Fitzgerald Design is working on the final plan. There is extra $ in our budget for other beach related items.
Motion to order a new grill and picnic table- passed. Phil will contact the town to remove the old rusty grill. Recap of Green Up Day, Successful and fun!
Tricia will notify the parking attendant 48 hrs in advance (Thursday) if canceling due to rainy weekend days, Memorial Day through Labor day.
7. New Town Park: Tabled sending out a survey to town residents with names: The Village Green, (our choice?) South Hero Village Green, South Hero Village Park. Discussion of Lavin Property also tabled.
8. Summer programs:
Tom Martin will help Lucy plan the Try-Athlon. July 18. Advertise in local towns. Ask Jessica for help.
Buoys: Mike Wickendon will anchor the ones far out. Rosemary will contact Carol for the other buoys. Should be set up by Memorial day.
Kayak Club, Lucy- spontaneous, Italian Ice night- Dylan will look into it. Joe Porcelli music. Dylan will contact Phil Reynolds for volleyball at the Beach.
9. Items for next meeting – Rosemary will bring a card and gift for Jessica at our next in person meeting to thank her for her years as treasurer.
