Selectboard Minutes
Special Meeting of Monday March 16, 2026 at 4:00 PM
At South Hero Town Hall and via Zoom
Board Members Present: David Carter/Chairman, Skip Brown/Board Secretary, Steve Robinson, David Lane, Anne Zolotas
Board Members Not Present: none
Other Town personnel Present: Sue Arguin, TA, Kim Julow, Treas., and Sandy Gregg
1. Called to Order:
– The meeting was called to order by Chairman David Carter at 4:03 pm.
2. New Business:
A. KAS, Inc. submitted a Correction Action Plan (CAP) for the lead removal around the perimeter of the Old South Hero Meeting House. The total cost is estimated to be $46,025.55 with a 15% contingency for up to $52,929.38. See Attached * KAS Old White Meeting House_CAP_3_13_26 David Lane made a motion to approve the CAP from KAS for up to $52,929.38. The motion was seconded, all in attendance so voted and the motion carried.
B. The Old South Hero Meeting house has grants totaling approximately $1,500.000.00, but most are reimbursable grants. Money may be needed to pay bills before the grant money arrives. Anne Zolotas made a motion to allow the Treasurer to research and apply for a Grant Anticipation Note (GAN) in the amount of $300,000.00 for a term of 2 years. The motion was seconded, all in attendance so voted and the motion carried.
3. Adjournment:
-Steve Robinson made a motion to adjourn at 4:25 pm. The motion was seconded, all in attendance so voted and the motion carried.
