General Election- Tuesday November 5, 2024

The State of Vermont mailed General Election ballots to all active voters in the state at the end of September.

You may return your ballot by mail, put it in our secure drop box or bring your ballot to the polls on November 5th and cast it there.

(If you do not bring your mailed ballot with you to the polls, you will need to sign an affidavit before receiving a replacement ballot and casting your vote).

PLEASE CONTACT THE CLERK”S OFFICE IF YOU HAVE NOT RECEIVED YOUR BALLOT.

If you are a registered voter of South Hero and wish to run for local office, you must submit the Petition for Candidacy form (local-candidate-petition) and the Consent of Candidate form (local-candidate-consent-pdf) to the Town Clerk no later than 4:00 PM on the sixth Monday preceding the election (January 29, 2024).

The Petition for Candidacy form must be signed by no fewer than 17 registered voters of South Hero.
