1. Call to order: 7:08 pm
2. Roll Call: Dylan, Phil, Sue, Rosemary, Carol, Marion, Jessica, Guest Guy Maguire
3. Approve minutes from last meeting: Approved
4. Treasurer’s report, Jessica. Report on special Budget meeting, Oct 29. Discussion of Flushable portalets for White’s Beach. Any new purchases must go through Jessica.
Budget must be submitted next week.
Motion to approve budget was approved.

All budget requests must be submitted by third week of November

5. General Business:
a. Updates: Whites Beach Dylan, swing set ladder is being shipped. Dylan has the volleyball net. Carol will ask boy scout Brantson Hunt, for help building the Pergola as his Eagle project.
b. Marble run- Lucy has written to the town of Murren and has not heard back. Is there local interest in the project? Cost depends on materials used, maybe gathered from the Restore. Possible locations: the library, Folsom, Snow Farm, Seb’s, etc. Lucy and her family will design and build one to get it started. Folks would buy the wooden balls. Lucy will create a document explaining the project and including visuals. Phil will help.

c. Dylan- Basketball. Coed team this year. Grades 3 and 4.
Ski and Ride, registration is open and dates have been set.

d. Review new protocol for using Folsom. Trail news: Guy will bring the MOU to the selectboard for maintenance of the trail behind the school. Trees have been planted and the boardwalk has been rebuilt. Revamping the outdoor classroom, Improvements to the boardwalk and pond. Great asset for the town.

Island Acres: Update grants and progress on Island Acres management plan. From Masonic Lodge to Steve Robinson’s land. Wheelchair accessible. State of VT grant, Northern Forest Center using Fed funds and private funds.

White’s Beach. Applying for design funding now. Bio engineering to protect the eroding shoreline, restoring the beach, and improving access to the water. Will be reviewed next summer

Lavin property Selectboard looking at plans for a trail. Not suitable for a conservation project since it is protected as a wetland. Planning group may be formed when funding is granted. .

Keeler Bay Trail has no parking. The town would have to approve a gravel lot and curb cut. Could be a fishing access. Could be funded by the 1% local tax.

SHLT will organize three summer camps.

Marsh trail clearing? Owned by Fish and Wildlife. Interns have worked clearing, cutting brush. 6 ft trail? Phil will reach out to Ann Z. to get permission.

h. Rosemary will report on Catamount passes and Cairns public skating. Can we buy them online? We get a PO and submit it to Kim? All purchases must go through Jessica.

6. New Business Town report, December 10. Input needed on what we did 2024-2025

Should we buy the Library tent? No funds available and no storage facilities.
Town says no to a facebook page for SHRPC
