Final Public Hearing- South Hero VCDP Planning Grant

April 8^th, 2023 at 7 PM

South Hero Town Hall

The Town of South Hero received $60,000 from the State of Vermont for a grant under the Vermont Community Development Program. A public hearing will be held at The South Hero Town Hall (333 US-2, South Hero, VT 05486) on April 8^th at 7 PM to obtain the views of citizens on community development, to furnish information concerning the range of community development activities that have been undertaken under this program, and to give affected citizens the opportunity to examine a statement of the use of these funds. The VCDP Funds received have been used to accomplish the following activities: architectural and engineering planning, environmental and historical review required to plan for the restoration of the Old White Meeting House/South Hero Meeting House located at 320 US-2, South Hero, VT.

Information on this project may be obtained from and viewed during the hours of 8:30 AM-4:30 PM at the South Hero Town Office (333 US-2, South Hero, VT 05486) on Monday-Thursday. The Selectboard voted to approve:
Development Regulations pursuant to Chapter 117 of Title 24, §4384 and §4441, V.S.A.
The updated regulations include technical corrections to grammar and typos, changes to
the review process for two-family dwellings (duplexes) mandated by the H.O.M.E. Act, and
clarifications on the DRB’s review standards for stormwater.
